Friends, you all know very well about the birth of Lord Shri Krishna. Everyone knows very well how and where they were born?  Why did he incarnate on earth? Everyone is familiar with his activities, his love and his life.

But do you know how he died? What caused it? How did the entire Dwarkapuri get submerged in water? And which part of Lord Shri Krishna was not burnt in the last rites? And that part of his is present today.

If you know, then it is good, if you don't know, then through this post you will know the answers to all the questions.  Because today's post is based on these questions.  So without any delay, let's read today's interesting post.

Cause of death of Shri Krishna

Dear friends, first of all we know that what was the reason for the death of Lord Shri Krishna?  Due to whose curse the entire dynasty of Shri Krishna came to an end.

Friends, the reason for the death of Lord Shri Krishna was Gandhari, the mother of Kauravas.  As you all know about the war of Mahabharata, in that war Lord Shri Krishna destroyed the Kauravas without picking up weapons. All the 100 sons of Dhritarashtra and Gandhari died fighting among themselves in this Kurukshetra. And the Pandavas won the war.

After the end of the war, when Shri Krishna reached Kauravas' mother Gandhari to bid farewell, Gandhari was mourning the death of her 100 sons.

Seeing Shri Krishna in front of him he became very angry.  He told Shri Krishna that you are the reason for the death of my sons.  If you wanted, you could have stopped this war.  But you didn't do that.  That's why I will never forgive you.  You will have to suffer the consequences.

Then Gandhari cursed Lord Krishna and said - If I have worshiped Lord Vishnu with full heart and faith and have followed my Pativrata dharma, then -

Just as my sons have died fighting among themselves, in the same way your clan will also die fighting among themselves.  This Dwarka of yours will disappear into the ocean before your very eyes and you will not be able to do anything.

How did Shri Krishna's dynasty i.e. Yaduvansh end?

Friends, Lord Shri Krishna was the incarnation of Lord Vishnu and Gandhari was a great devotee of Lord Vishnu, hence Lord Shri Krishna accepted her curse without saying anything.  He bowed to Gandhari and left from there.

Since God never disappoints His true devotees, He fooled all the Yaduvanshis to make Gandhari's curse meaningful.

When the sages opened their eyes, the Yaduvansh Kumars said – O Gurudev!  This woman is pregnant and you are a knowledgeable man who knows everything. Your power and knowledge are infallible.  You are a trikaal darshi.  This woman has a great desire to know whether she is pregnant with a girl or a son.  Therefore, please take pity on this woman and fulfill her curiosity.

The sages who were trikaldarshi realized with their power that this Yaduvansh Kumar was joking with them and making fun of them. Then the sages got angry and said to the Yaduvansh Kumars-

Hey fools and ignorant people, what do you think, we will not see this disgusting act of yours.  You will definitely be punished for this audacity that you have done.  He cursed the Yaduvansh Kumars and said -

You have brought a snake to us dressed as a pregnant woman. Now a pestle will be born from the womb of this snake, which will destroy your entire clan including you.

Yaduvansh Kumar got scared and frightened after hearing the curse of the sages.  Afraid, when he tore open the snake's stomach, he was shocked.  Because there was really a pestle in the snake's stomach.  He started regretting his actions.  But what could they do now, the curse had already hit them. So he reached the frightened King Ugrasen.

Reaching King Ugrasen, he gave the pestle and narrated the entire incident to the king.Hearing the incident, the entire assembly including the king became nervous.  

The color drained from their faces. Everyone sitting in the meeting started saying, O king, what will you do now?  Now the entire Yaduvansh will come to an end because the curse of Brahmins never goes waste.

Hearing this, the king got the pestle broken and pulverized and then threw the pulverized mortar into the sea.  A fish ate a piece of sawdust that fell into the sea and the remaining sawdust got stuck on the sea shore. Due to which grass without knots grew at that place.

One day a fisherman named Jara went fishing.  When he threw a net into the sea, the same fish which had eaten the piece of pestle got trapped in it. When he cut the fish to cook, he found that piece in his stomach.  The fisherman put that piece on the tip of his arrow.

Friends, on the other hand, Lord Shri Krishna, in order to make the curse of his devotee Gandhari true and to end the Yaduvanshis, made her drink liquor called Mairayak.  Due to drinking madira, all the Yaduvanshis started fighting among themselves.

Their small fight turned into a war.  All the Yaduvansh started fighting among themselves and dying and when all the weapons were exhausted, they did not find anything to fight, so they started fighting by uprooting the same grass growing on the sea shore, which had grown from the dust of the pestle. This was the same pestle which had come out of the snake's stomach due to the curse.

Friends, as soon as the Yaduvanshis uprooted that grass to fight, that delicate grass turned into a mudgal.  Now, friends, the more grass there was, the more Mudgal there was.  All the Yaduvanshis picked up Mudgals and started attacking each other.  One by one all the Yaduvanshis came to an end.

When all the Yaduvanshis were killed by one Mudgal, Balram ji could not bear it and he sacrificed his life while meditating on God on the same sea shore.

Here, after the departure of his elder brother Balram and the end of all the Yaduvanshis, he was left alone.  Apart from this, the work for which the Gods took birth on earth had also been completed.  He had eliminated all the oppressors and unrighteous people from the earth.  So now God also thought of going back to his abode.

Friends, once upon a time, Lord Shri Krishna was sitting on a tree and playing the flute.  While playing the flute, he placed his right foot on his left foot.  Which was shining like gold.

A fisherman named Jara thought that shine was the eye of a deer.  He picked up the bow and shot the arrow towards the deer.  Friends, this was the same arrow which had a piece of pestle attached to it.  When the hunter went to collect his hunting deer.  So he saw that his arrow had not hit any deer, but Lord Shri Krishna.

Seeing this he became very angry with himself. He started cursing himself and crying.  Crying, he asked God for forgiveness.  He said- Oh Lord!  Please forgive me. I did not shoot the arrow at you knowingly.  I was deer hunting.

I shot an arrow at the deer, but it hit you by mistake. Please forgive me Lord. Oh God! You cut off these hands of mine, so that I can never kill any innocent person.

Zara was very scared and sad.  He was very remorseful for his mistake.  Seeing this, Shri Krishna said, you do not need to be afraid at all.  It is not your fault in this.  All this happened because of previous birth.

I took the incarnation of Ram in my previous birth i.e. Treta Yuga.  In which you were famous by the name Bali.  At that time I had cheated you.  While you were fighting with your brother Sugriva, I hid behind the bushes and shot an arrow at you.  Due to which you died.  That's why in this birth I was hit by your arrow by deception.

Friends, saying this, Lord Shri Krishna left his body and went back to his world Vaikuntha.  After Shri Krishna left, the ocean waves completely submerged Dwarka.  Nothing left.

Friends! After the departure of Shri Krishna, the ocean waves completely submerged Dwarka. No one from his lineage survived. Then the Pandavas performed his last rites.

In the last rites of Shri Krishna, all his organs except his heart were burnt. That means God's heart did not burn. His heart was beating even after the ceremony. When the Pandavas saw that the Lord's heart did not burn and was still beating, they were surprised and started wondering what to do with the Lord's heart. After much deliberation, he immersed Lord Krishna's heart in water.

 What happened to Shri Krishna's heart?

After some time, her heart was found by a king whose name was Indriyam. King Indriyam was a great devotee of Lord Jagannath. Therefore he got that heart fixed in the idol of Lord Jagannath. And it is said that from then onwards the heart of Lord Jagannath started beating.

Friends, the heart is the only part of Lord Krishna which is alive and present today. Which you devotees can feel by going to Jagannath Puri, you can hear his heartbeats.

If you have been to Lord Jagannath Puri, then you will be well aware of its reality, and if you have not, then go and see it once with full devotion and faith.  You will see your Lord Shri Krishna there.  You will feel their heartbeat.  And why not feel it, friends!  After all, he has left his heart for the peace of mind of us devotees and for his love.
