Even a moment's bad company is the cause of destruction. mythology

Har Har Mahadev dear readers!  How are you guys, hope you are well, may you receive the immense blessings of Bholenath.

First story

Glory of satsang

Once upon a time, Maharishi Vashishtha ji came to Vishwamitra ji's ashram.  Vishwamitra ji not only welcomed him but also offered him the fruits of his one thousand years of penance in hospitality.  After some time, Vishwamitraji became Vashishthaji's guest.

Vashishthaji also honored him appropriately and offered him the virtue of half an hour's satsang.  But Vishwamitra ji was enraged by this behavior of Vashishthaji.  Although he did not say anything;  Still, the expression of anger on his face could not be hidden.

Targeting that feeling, Vashishthaji said - 'I see that you do not find my half-hour's satsang equivalent to your thousand years of penance.  Why don't we get someone to take a decision?

Both of them were Brahmarishis, not even any sage could have the courage to decide their dispute, leave alone the kings. They reached Brahmalok. But Brahmaji also thought that if any one of them gets angry and curses, he will be in trouble.

He said- 'You people should come to Lord Vishnu;  Because being busy in the work of creation, I am unable to give any decision with a healthy mind.

'I bow at the feet of both of you.  The importance of penance and satsang can be judged only by the one who is himself engaged in it.

I am not even familiar with them.  You people please ask Tapomurti Lord Shankare.  Lord Vishnu also sent away both the sages saying this.

Both the sages reached Kailash;  But Shankarji (shiva) also said - 'Ever since I drank Halahal, my state of mind has not been able to be decisive.

But yes, Shesh Nag ji always keeps doing penance with the earth on his head and keeps giving the benefit of satsang to Munivrind through his thousand (thousand) mouths.  They can definitely judge you guys.

Glory of satsang

Now both the Brahmins reached the underworld.  After reaching the underworld, Sheshji overheard the conversation between the two sages and said - 'If one of you, with your influence, keeps this earth in limbo for a few moments, then my burden will be reduced and I will be healthy and think and take a decision.'

Then Vishwamitra ji took water in his hand and resolved;  And say – I offer the fruit of a thousand years of penance, may this earth remain at one place in the sky.  But the earth did not even move from Sheshnag's head.

Now after this, Brahmarshi Vashishthaji took water in his hand and said - I give the virtue of my satsang for half an hour, may the Earth Goddess remain in the sky for a few moments.  Brahmarshi Vashishthaji resolved and the earth rose above the hoods of Sheshji and became baseless, without any support.

Now there was nothing left to decide or get done.  Because by rising above the earth it became clear who is so great.  That's why Vishwamitra ji held the feet of Vashishtha ji and said - 'Lord!  You are always great.

Second story

Even the curse of a true saint is auspicious.

Ghanadhish Kuber had two sons – Nalkuber and Manigriva.  Son of Kuber, then why ask about property?  He was young, being a Yaksha he was very strong, being the son of Lokpal he was extremely independent.

Youth, wealth, dominance and thoughtlessness – each of these is the cause of disaster;  Then where there are all four, there is nothing to ask.  All four defects came together in Kuber's sons.  Both of them started becoming crazy with money.

Once he was playing naked in the water after drinking alcohol with women.  At the same time Devarshi Narad passed from there.

Nalkuber and Manigriva drinking alcohol and playing naked in water with women

Seeing Devarshi, the women immediately came out of the water and wore their clothes;  But both Kuber's sons remained standing naked.  He did not find it appropriate to pay any respect or honor to Devarshi.

Seeing his condition, Devarshi did not get angry at him, but she definitely felt pity.  Kuberji is the Lokpal, his Ganas are also considered Updev, Lord Shankar calls him his friend;  And his sons are such rude and intoxicated people!  Out of pity, Devarshi cursed - 'Both of you are standing like roots, hence become rootless trees.'

No one gets bound by the darshan of a saint.  No one gets harmed by the curse of a saint.  Saints are blessed.  Seeing, touching and consuming it is not only auspicious, but its anger and curse also result in auspiciousness in life.

Devarshi cursed and said - 'Both of you become Arjun trees adjacent to Nand Dwar in Braj.  By incarnating in Dwapara, Shri Krishna will save you from the Chandra Vriksha vagina and then you will attain devotion to God.

Is this a curse or a blessing?  You will get the darshan of Shri Krishnachandra, you will get his touch and you will get devotion to God.  Will get residence in Braj and that too at Nand Dwar.

When the creator Brahmaji praised Shyamsundar after kidnapping the children, he too could not muster enough courage to pray for a tree to grow on Nandapouri.

Afraid, he prayed - 'Lord!  Make me anything in Braj.  Even after praying, the creator could not get the boon of Braj becoming grass and the rebellious sons of Kuber were cursed to remain as trees at Nand Dwar for a long time - this was the effect of the saint's darshan.

Nalkuber and Manigriva get freedom from curse by Lord Krishna.

Leelamaya Natnagar (Krishna) incarnated in Dwapar, broke the pot of curd in his own house, stole butter and thus angered mother Yashoda and got himself tied to a mortar by her hands.

After this, Krishna, tied to the mortar and pestle with a rope, dragged the mortar and reached Kuber's sons who were transformed into Arjuna trees at his door.

By sticking a mortar between the trees they forcefully felled the trees;  Because he had to follow the truth of what his beloved devotee Naradji said.  Therefore, by felling the trees, he freed both the sons of Kuber from the womb of the tree.

Third story

Even a moment's bad company leads to destruction

Once upon a time, a young Brahmin named Ajamil lived in Kannauj.  He was a scholar of the scriptures, was polite, had a gentle nature, was generous, truthful and restrained.

He was a servant of his teachers, well-wisher of all living beings, spoke very little and sweetly and did not hate or hate anyone.

One day, that pious Brahmin youth, with the permission of his father, went to the forest to collect fruits, flowers and dry Samidha and Kush for Agnihotra.

When he started returning with all these materials, he made a mistake.  He returned through a route where people with bad conduct used to live.  This small mistake became the reason for the downfall of that Brahmin.

On the way Brahmin Ajamil was returning, a Shudra was making shameless jokes with a wicked woman after drinking alcohol.  That woman was becoming shameless under the influence of alcohol.  His clothes were getting disorganized.

Even a moment's bad company is the cause of destruction. mythology

Ajamil saw this scene from nearby.  He quickly left the place;  But seeing that scene, the wrong thought had become strong in his mind for a moment due to bad company.

Ajamil came home;  But his mind became frantic.  He tried again and again to concentrate his mind;  But my mind was busy remembering that wicked woman.  Ultimately Ajamil could not calm his mind.

A moment's bad company drowned the pious and restrained Brahmin in the ocean of sin.  Now Ajamil started trying to satisfy that characterless woman.  He left his parents, caste, religion, family morality and even his saintly wife.

No fear of public condemnation could stop him.  Taking all the ancestral wealth from home, he used it to satisfy the same prostitute and the matter escalated to such an extent that he started living in a separate house with the same woman.

Once a man falls, it becomes difficult for him to recover.  He keeps falling down.  Gradually all the wealth of Ajamil was exhausted.  But he had to satisfy that prostitute and the solution to this was to keep giving her money.

And so he started doing every wrong thing like theft, gambling, cheating - any way to get money, so that he can get money.  The question of religion and unrighteousness was removed from Ajamil's mind.

What a great disaster a moment's bad company can do.  A virtuous and self-controlled person, due to one moment's carelessness, became a deeply unethical person.

Forth story

A moment's satsang transforms even a flawed life

 Ulta Naam Japat Jagu Jana,

 Balmiki bhay Brahma samaana.

It is a very ancient story that due to bad company a Brahmin had become a cruel robber.  He was illiterate since birth.  He adopted a very harsh path to support his family.  His base was near a road leading through the dense forest.

He would kill any traveler who passed by, without even thinking about how much profit he would get from this murder.  He would take whatever he found with the dead person and dispose of the body somewhere.

He killed so many people that the sacrificial sacred thread (sacred thread) of those who were of double caste was collected by seven and a half bullock carts.

That route had become a gateway to death for travelers.  Devarshi Narada could not see this plight of the pilgrims.  He himself started on the same route.  Like always, the bandit pounced on them with weapons raised.  It is good for Devrshi, what is there to fear.

He said-'Brother!  Are you angry in vain?  What is the benefit of taking up arms?  I haven't even done you any harm.  What do you want ?'  That Brahmin robber said - 'I want your life, your body and clothes and if you have anything else, that too.'

नारद मुनि और डाकू रत्नाकर

Even without continuously committing this sin of killing life, you can fill your stomach with the fruits and tubers of the forest!'  Devarshi's brightness and the kindness in her voice left the dacoit stunned.

The robber said, “But who will feed my parents, wife and son, you?”

Naradji said very lovingly – Brother!  None of those for whom you commit this sin daily will take part in suffering the consequences of your sin.  You alone will have to suffer the consequences of your sin.'

'How can this be ?'  The robber was distracted.  'Those who enjoy the wealth earned through my sins will definitely share in the fruits of my sins.'

'You are very innocent, brother!  No one will share in the consequences of sin.  If you don't believe what I say then go home and ask those people.  Devarshi completed the conversation.

The robber said while handling the weapon - Babaji!  You want to fool me.  I'll go home and ask, and you'll keep slipping away from here!'

'You tie me tightly to this tree.'  Silently Naradji himself stood leaning against a tree.

Now the robber found his words to be true.  He tied them tightly to the tree with the vines of the forest and himself ran fast and reached his home.

After going home he asked his father- 'Father!  You know that I kill passengers and bring back their belongings and feed my family with it.  You also have a share in the consequences of this sin that I commit every day, don't you?

Nurtured you, raised you from small to big and now you have become capable.  Our old age has come.  Your duty is to maintain us.  How do you bring money, what does it matter to us?  Why should we have any share in your sins and virtues?

The robber was startled for the first time.  He went to his mother;  But mother also gave him the same answer as father had given.  He asked his wife - 'The wife said - 'Swami!  My duty is to serve you, to serve your teachers and family.

I perform my duty.  Your duty.  Protecting me and nurturing me, that's what you do.  How do you get the money for this, so you know what I have to do with that sin of yours, why would I participate in it?'

The robber was disappointed, yet asked his child son in the end.  The child answered more clearly - 'I am small, incapable;  So you support me.  When I become capable, you will become old and incapable.

At that time I will definitely support you.  It is a matter of mutual help.  Know your sin;  I do not want to take any part in it, nor will I.

There was darkness before the robber's eyes.  Those for whom he has committed so many sins do not want to support him in suffering the consequences of that sin.

His heart began to burn with remorse.  He ran towards the forest.  After reaching there, he broke the vines binding Devarshi and fell at her feet crying.

Crying, he said to Naradji - Baba ji, my heart is burning with the fire of repentance, I am suffocating.  Please tell me some way to avoid this.

Naradji picked him up and hugged him and said – Son!  There is no need for you to be disappointed.  Everything will be fine. 'You chant the name of Ram.' There is a lot of power in this name.  This name keeps every living being away from troubles and gives them freedom.

The robber obeyed Baba Ji and started chanting.  But one who has committed many murders, who has no feeling of compassion in his heart and whose voice has never spoken sweet words, then how can he chant the sacred.

Whenever the dacoit tried to speak Ram, he would say 'Mara Mara' instead of 'Ram'.  Even after many attempts he could not pronounce the name of Ram properly.

Troubled, he asked Naradji - Babaji, what should I do?  Can't understand anything.  I am not able to get the name properly.

friends!  How could there be defeat in the presence of Naradji?  When Naradji never loses, how could he let his disciple lose?  He said to the robber- Son!  No need to worry.  You just chant 'Maraa Maraa'.

Following Naradji's advice, the robber sat at the same place and started chanting mra mra.  His heart was very happy. On the contrary, he became so engrossed in chanting the name of Ram that he did not even realize when his teacher (Narad ji, who gave sermons) left?

'Maraa maraa maraa maraa... days, weeks, months and years passed by while chanting;  But the robber did not know anything.  Termites started infesting his body and gradually they built their burrows over him.

The penance of the dacoit surprised the creator Brahmaji.  He himself came and there he sprinkled the nectar water of his Kamandalu on that ascetic.

Due to the influence of those water-seekers, the man who emerged from the mound of termites (pile of soil created by termites) had now completely changed.  His form, complexion, body and heart had all become divine.

No one knew exactly what the bandit's name was?  Some people called him Ratnakar.  But the ascetic who arose was called Balmiki because he came from Balmika.

He became the first poet and the first singer to sing the pure glory of Lord Shri Ram.  Even today the world worships him and feels gratitude.  He must have once been some unknown cruel robber;  But a moment's satsang made him the greatest.
