Taming Anger: Finding Inner Peace"

Taming Anger: Finding Inner Peace"

What is anger?

Friends! Anger is such a person, such a creature which is like an uninvited guest. Don't you think so? When this creature in the form of anger enters anyone's life, it completely transforms life.

Effect of anger on life

Anger is such a small word but its effect is much more than that. As soon as it affects, life becomes dull. Friends! If someone is told not to be sad, not to be angry. Then it is not possible, because no one has control over anger.

It comes when it has to come. And due to its effect, not only the angry person but also other members of the family get into trouble. They get worried, sad, troubled.

It is said that one pomegranate makes a hundred sick. Exactly the same situation, that one gets angry and everyone has to suffer.

Anger is a great enemy of patience. It is just like a storm, when it comes, no one else's words can be heard. Similarly, when one is angry, even the good words of a well-wisher cannot be heard.

An angry person dislikes every person and his words. Therefore, it is impossible to get help from outside during such a storm. If any help can be obtained, it can be obtained only from within.

Therefore, it is appropriate that we should already keep wisdom, thoughts and contemplation in our hearts. So that during the storm of anger, we can take help from within ourselves.

When a city is surrounded by a strong enemy, then nothing can come to that city from outside. Whatever is inside is of use. When one is blinded by anger, external help cannot be obtained. Therefore, keep good thoughts and good thinking in the mind.

This is not so easy because anger is such a bad disease that it tries to destroy good thoughts from the root.  This is more harmful than poison, because in the intoxication of anger a person loses the knowledge of good and bad.

Two forms of anger

Everyone, even relatives, start avoiding an angry person. An angry person gets angry at every small thing, every incident and every person, without any reason or for a very small reason.

If the reason for anger is very big, then it takes a violent form. And, if the reason is small, then it only leads to irritation. In this way, friends! Anger has two forms. Fierce and ridiculous. And it is bad in both the forms.

Anger makes a person's body terrible, makes his eyes monstrous, makes the face red like fire and makes the conversation very fierce. Thus anger is neither a sign of humanity nor a sign of simple nature or purity of soul.

Actually anger is a sign of cowardice or pettiness of mind. Anger suits only those people who are petty, not the wise, generous and good people.

A person forgets his own self in anger. His thinking capacity reduces and while talking he starts saying things that are absurd.

In anger, instead of investigating the cause of the incident, man starts a useless quarrel. Anger makes those who have been given authority by God arrogant. It makes teachings and sermons ineffective.

It turns even the blessed ones into haters. No matter how much pain others may have due to anger, but the person who gets angry gets the most pain. He suffers the most loss.

Anger loses knowledge and wisdom.

Friends! It is not a good thing if all the members of the family are upset. It is true that no one has control over anger. But if one tries, it is not impossible. If one gets mildly angry, it is okay, it's alright, it's okay.

But if it starts happening more than necessary, then it should be understood that the angry person is destroying his own life essence. (Ending life, ruining happiness) Anger affects the heart very quickly.

Due to which the person loses his knowledge and wisdom and knowingly or unknowingly he commits many kinds of mistakes.

Just like the plight of a city after a tornado, similarly the plight and damage caused by anger is seen in the house of every angry person. No one feels like coming to that house. And no one makes friendship with that angry person, nor does anyone believe his words.

We have become habituated to blaming physical disorder for the diseases of the body, that is, we think that the disease will be cured by just taking medicine. The root cause of diseases is internal defects and we are not at all prepared to accept this truth.

Anger, jealousy etc., the impulses of these defects cause as much damage to the delicate nerves of a human being as cannot be caused by any other reason.

Ways to avoid anger

The nerves (nerves, energy, speed and strength) which are moving in a calm, simple and healthy manner get destroyed very quickly due to internal defects. Its effect falls on the entire body. Just as mental strength is considered to be the center of the health of the body, in the same way, firm, strong devotion towards God is the backbone of the internal health of a person.

Both of these together increase the working capacity of a person many times. Due to which a person acquires good qualities like - he starts having faith in the true scriptures like Vedas,

his love for good people starts increasing, he starts following Vidhinishedh (following the scriptural instructions of doing or not doing any work) and his self-confidence starts increasing.

With all these virtues, a person starts feeling safe, peaceful and happy. Therefore, to avoid anger, we should first firmly vow in our mind that we will not get angry that day, no matter how much loss we suffer. In this way, we should always be prepared by vowing.

One day is not enough. If we conquer anger even for one day, then it is appropriate to vow to do the same the next day. By doing this, we will develop the habit of not getting angry. For the one who has conquered anger, even the most difficult tasks in life will become easy.

Anger

Note: It is also not good to give up anger completely. If you see someone doing a bad deed, you should first explain to him in sweet words.

If he does not leave that work even after explaining, then it is okay to get angry at him. The anger which improves the behaviour of your family members, your close friends or others, generates reverence for God, leads to kindness, generosity and a tendency towards charity, then such anger is not bad.
