Patal Bhuvaneshwar cave is incredible and miraculous. People here say that - you will get all the information about the end of Kaliyug and the structure of nature from this cave. Every sculpture of this cave has its own mysterious story.

After 80 slippery stairs from the main entrance of this cave, a world of history of ages comes together in front of you. The stone structures in this cave force you to think about the spiritual height of the country.

Inside the cave, a figure of gods and Sheshnag is reflected everywhere.  At the beginning of the cave, the shape of Sheshnag head is reflected in the stones. It is said that the earth rests on it.

There are four pillars inside this cave, which represent almost four eras. Satya Yuga, Treta Yuga, Dwapar Yuga and Kalyug. Three of them are similar in size.

But the fourth pillar of Kalyug is bigger than the other three. A stone is hanging from the ceiling above the pillar. The distance between the pillar and the stone is very less.

According to the sages, the pillar of Kalyug grows 1 inch every 70 lakh years. It is believed that - the day this fourth pillar touches the hanging stone, there will be devastation in the world and the era of Kalyug will end.

This cave was first discovered by King Ritu Yog in Treta Yuga. In Dwapar Yuga, the Pandavas played chopal here and in Kaliyug around 1833 AD, Rishi Shankaracharya was born in this cave.
