The power and prowess of Goddess Sita

Jai Shri Ram dear readers! How are you all, hope you are well.

The power and prowess of Goddess Sita

Once Lord Shri Ram was sitting in a court with his entire family. Then the King of Lanka Vibhishan came running in a panic with his wife and four ministers and taking deep breaths again and again, started saying- O Rajivayan Ram! Save me, save me.

Shri Ram asked- What happened Lankeshwar?

Then Vibhishan replied- The demon named Moolkasur, son of Lord Kumbhakarna, who was abandoned in the forest by Kumbhakarna because he was born in the Mool Nakshatra, but was raised by the bees.

Now he has grown up, Lord. Not only this, he has pleased Lord Brahma through penance and being proud of his power, he has created a lot of ruckus.

When he came to know about the conquest of Lanka and granting of the kingdom to me by you, he ran to Lanka along with the residents of underworld and attacked me.

Somehow I fought with him for six months. Last night I reached here by running away through a tunnel along with my son, ministers and wife. He has said that 'First I will kill the traitor Vibhishan and then I will kill the patri-killer Ram.

So Raghav! He must be coming to you too, so whatever you think is right in such a situation, do it immediately.'

Although the devotee-loving Lord Shri Ram had many other important works at that time, yet on hearing the sad story of his devotee, he immediately prepared his sons Lav, Kush and Laxman and other brothers and the entire monkey army and boarded the Pushpaka vehicle and immediately headed towards Lanka.

When Moolkasur came to know about Shri Ram's arrival, he also came out of Lanka with his army to fight. A huge war broke out. There was chaos all around. The fierce war continued for seven days. Many soldiers were killed.

A very difficult problem arose. All the ministers including Sumant also arrived from Ayodhya. Then Hanumanji brought Sanjivani without any delay and kept reviving the monkeys, bears and human army, but the result of the war seemed to be the opposite.

Lord Shri Ram was sitting under the Kalpavriksha in worry. Moolkaasura had gone to the secret cave for Abhichar Homa (Havan performed for death). When Vibhishan came to know about this, he went to Lord Shri Ram and started telling him about that secret Havan.

While they were still talking, Lord Brahma arrived there and said, "Raghunandan! I have given him the boon of dying at the hands of a woman. There is one more thing, listen to that too.

One day, distraught with grief, he said in front of the sages, "My clan was destroyed because of Chandi Sita." On this, a sage got angry and cursed him, "Evil man! The one whom you have called Chandi (Sita), that very thread will kill you."

As soon as the sage said this, the evil spirit devoured him. Now what? All the other sages quietly slipped away from there out of fear. Therefore, now there is no medicine for him. Now only Sita ji can be capable of killing him.

In such a situation, O Raghunandan! You should call her here and try to kill him immediately. This is the only way to kill him. Saying this, Brahma ji left.

Lord Shri Ram also immediately sent Hanumanji and Vintanandan Garuda to bring Sita safely in Pushpak vehicle. Here, Paramba Bhagwati Janakanandini Sita was in a very strange condition.

She did not have peace even for a moment in the separation of Shri Raghavendra Ramchandra. She would repeatedly climb the roof of the palace to see if the Lord was arriving from the south on Pushpak.

Disappointed from there, she would go down again. Sometimes she would circumambulate Tulsi, Shiv idol, Peepal tree etc. for the victory of the Lord and sometimes she would get the Brahmins to recite Shri Sukta.

Sometimes she would pray to Durga and ask for victorious Shri Ram to return soon and sometimes she would get the Brahmins to chant Shatarudriya. She could never sleep.

She kept praying to the gods and goddesses of the world. She did not even think about her food and makeup. In this way, every moment of hers was passing like an era, when Garuda and Hanumanji reached her.

On hearing her husband's message, Sita left immediately and on reaching Lanka, she saw the Lord under the Kalpavriksha. The Lord asked the reason for her weakness. Paramba said smilingly with shame- 'Swami. This happened only due to your absence.

Without you, I am neither able to sleep nor feel hungry. I am your Viyogi, I have been meditating on you day and night like a Yogini. I have no idea what has happened to my outer body.'

After that, the Lord spoke about the valour of Moolkaasura. Then what happened? Bhagwati got angry. Another Tamasi Shakti came out of her body, its voice was very terrifying. It went towards Lanka.

By then the monkeys, on getting the signal from the Lord, reached the cave and started stopping Moolkasur from performing the havan.

The monkeys created so much ruckus that Moolkasur had to stop the havan in between and in frustration, he started running after them with the intention of killing them. While chasing them, he reached the battlefield.

On seeing the shadow that appeared due to Sita's anger in the battlefield, he said- 'You run away. I do not show manliness on women.'

But the shadow said- 'I am your Mrityu-Chandi. You killed my biased Brahmin, now I will repay the debt by killing you.' Saying this, she shot five arrows at Moolak. Moolak also started shooting arrows.

Finally, by using Chandikastra, Chhaya beheaded Moolkasur. The head flew and fell at the gate of Lanka. The demons ran away screaming. Chhaya returned and entered Sita's body.

After that Vibhishan showed the whole Lanka to the Lord, because he could not come to Lanka the first time due to his promise to his father. Sitaji showed him her abode, Ashok forest.
