What is the benefit of these yagyas

What is the benefit of these yagyas

Friends! In today's post we will know whether animals should be sacrificed in yagya, havan etc. Let's go through the story

There is a city named Mahishmati on the bank of Narmada. A Brahmin named Madhav lived there. He earned a lot of money with the influence of his knowledge and organized a huge yagya. A goat was brought for sacrifice in that yagya.

When its body was worshipped, the goat laughed and said - 'Brahmin! What is the benefit of these yagyas. Their result is destructive and leads to death. I was also a Brahmin in my previous birth. I had performed all the yagyas and was very proficient in the knowledge of Vedas.

One day my wife made me sacrifice a goat to get relief from a childhood disease. When that goat was being killed in the temple of Chandika, its mother cursed me - 'O sinner! You want to kill my child, hence you will also be born in the womb of a goat.'

O Brahmins! After that I died and became a goat. Therefore, pure deeds like worshipping God etc. are more divine than all these ritualistic rituals.

The only medicine to get free from the worldly cycle is to follow the spiritual path and regularly do non-violent worship, recitation and recitation of Gita etc. In this regard, I will tell you about another ideal.

Once, on the occasion of solar eclipse, King Chandra Sharma of Kurukshetra made preparations to donate the Kaal Purush with great devotion. He called a learned Brahmin who was well versed in Vedas and Vedangas and went to take a bath along with the priest. After taking a bath, he donated the Kaal Purush to that Brahmin.

Then, tearing open the heart of Kaal Purush, a sinful Chandal and a slanderous Chandal came out of it. That pair of Chandals suddenly started entering the body of the Brahmin with red eyes. Then the Brahmin started chanting the ninth chapter of Gita in his mind.

The king was quietly watching all this wonder. Vishnu's messengers, born from the letters of Gita, seeing the Chandal pair entering the body of the Brahmin, immediately ran and made their efforts futile.

Seeing this incident, the king was astonished and asked the Brahmin about the secret behind this. Then the Brahmin told the whole story. Now the king became the disciple of that Brahmin and started learning the bhagwad Gita from him.

The Brahmin was very impressed after hearing this story from the goat's mouth and he freed the goat. And he himself started studying the Gita.
