Duryodhana's Power in Mahabharata

The war of Mahabharata is filled with many amazing powers and incidents. Duryodhana, who was the main leader of the Kauravas, was famous for his power, war skills and intelligence. He was very proud of his intelligence and hence, many times he made wrong decisions due to his pride and arrogance.

It is said that on one particular occasion, Lord Krishna shot many arrows at Duryodhana to test him. But, Duryodhana cleverly dodged all those arrows.

It is believed that this was not the work of an ordinary man but was the result of Duryodhana's powers of yoga and meditation, which he had acquired from his mother Gandhari and his gurus.

Does Lord Krishna love me?

Is this the record for dodging the most arrows?

If seen from a modern perspective, there is no scientific evidence of such incidents. In the modern age, the talk of "dodging arrows" is often taken as fiction. The limit and speed of human reaction is fixed, and in today's science such incidents are considered unbelievable.

However, this act of Duryodhana has an important place in the Mahabharata. This incident shows how in ancient times warriors had to develop their mental strength along with physical strength. It is possible that he had extraordinary skills, which he acquired through yoga and meditation, which is still imitated by those who follow him even today.

The art of dodging arrows

If we talk about war skills, dodging arrows is an extremely difficult process. A warrior not only has to see the arrows coming at high speed, but also has to react his body quickly enough to move away from the direction of those arrows.

According to modern science, the normal reaction time of a person is between 200 to 250 milliseconds. Whereas the speed of an arrow is much faster than this.

Therefore, warriors like Duryodhana who dodged the arrows can be considered highly trained physically and mentally.

Conclusion

The incident of Duryodhan escaping from the arrows of Lord Krishna cannot be verified from the point of view of modern science, i.e. science does not consider it true because there is no scientific evidence available to prove it. Still, its mention in epics like Mahabharata shows that the warriors of that time were endowed with extraordinary physical and mental abilities.

Whether the incident is real (i.e. it actually happened) or symbolic (seen as a metaphor), such stories teach us how important mental and physical sadhana i.e. meditation, yoga, and discipline are in life

Dear readers, we hope that you have got the right answer to your question. But still if you have any doubts, you can express your opinion without any worry. With this, we bid farewell. We will meet again in the next post with a devotional story, till then keep laughing and smiling.

Thankyou

Jay shri Krishna
